Edward W. Chin

President & CEO – Ed@ais-insurance.com (ext. 115)

Ed Founded AIS in 1979 to promote equal access to life and health benefits in the Asian Communities throughout California. A life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Ed has also been a recipient of numerous awards including Business Man of the Year and Asian Entrepreneur of the Year. Ed has 50 years experience forming medical groups, insurance companies, and employer trusts.

Doug Shimada

Senior Vice President – Doug@ais-insurance.com (ext. 125)

Doug came to AIS in 1983, after working with a major insurance company in New York and overseas. He is responsible for contacting agents about services and products offered by AIS. Doug is particularly strong with innovative ways to introduce products into niche markets.

Mary Yee

Mary joined AIS in 1983. She is the personal assistance to the President, and is responsible for agent contracting and licensing.

Nancy Shimada

Broker Relations – Nancys@ais-insurance.com (ext. 129)

Nancy joined AIS in 1996. Her primary function is servicing brokers and agents, employer group accounts, individual clients and medical plans for seniors. She handles renewals and quotations.

Candy Cheung

Accounting Manager – Candy@ais-insurance.com (ext. 130)

Candy joined AIS in 1995. She is in charge the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and agent commissions.

Heidi Chan

Accounting Department – Heidi@ais-insurance.com (ext. 136)

Heidi joined AIS in 1998. She is responsible for assisting Candy with accounts payable, accounts receivable and agent commissions.

Amy Chu

Client Services Manager – Amyc@ais-insurance.com (ext. 132)

Amy joined AIS in 2001. She oversees our Client Services Department, handles group renewal notifications, works with clients to resolve their problem issues related to eligibility and or billing.

Van Tran

Client Services Assistant Manager – Van@ais-insurance.com (ext. 135)

Van joined AIS in 2003. She is responsible for client services, enrollment changes for small groups and individuals and questions related to eligibility or billing.

Maggie Ng

Maggie joined AIS in 2005. She handles daily enrollment changes, client servicing, eligibility for small groups and individuals.

Vivian Liang

Vivian joined AIS in 1995. She is responsible for billing administration, including preparing invoices, maintaining delinquent accounts and premium reconciliation.
